Vishwakarma Yojana Jammu & Kashmir – A new program has recently been introduced by the Indian government for members of the Vishwakarma community. This program was initiated six months ago, and the Central Government just recently gave it their blessing. PM Vishwakarma Yojana: Increasing artisans’ income in the future
The Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Scheme’s principal goal is to support traditional craftsmen and artists in India. This program has a total budget of Rs 13,000 crores. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that this program would be inaugurated on the approaching Vishwakarma Jayanti on August 15 during his address to the nation. Since Vishwakarma Jayanti is observed on September 17, it has been decided to introduce this program on that day. According to Vaishnavji, there are numerous such villages in India where members of the Vishwakarma community practice the Guru-shishya craft tradition. Benefits will be given to all of these folks under the Vishwakarma Scheme.
What the PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana 2023 includes
- The program will offer two levels of training: primary and advanced.
- Each artist would receive a daily budget of Rs 500 for the first few days.
- The initial phase of this program would offer loans up to Rs 1 lakh.
- Loans up to Rs 2 lakh would be offered in the second phase.
- After the course is finished, help will be given to buy equipment up to Rs 15,000.
Eligibility for Vishwakarma Scheme in Jammu & Kashmir
- Workers in the unorganized sector and artisans who work for themselves, as well as a person or craftsman among them, must reside permanently in one of the 18 family enterprises in order to be recognized under the plan.
- The applicant must be at least 18 years old to register.
- The recipient must be operating the pertinent business as of the registration date and must not have borrowed money through PMEGP, PM Swanidhi, Mudra, or any other credit-based program run by the federal government or a state government within the previous five years.
- The concept of “family” for purposes of registration and receiving benefits under the system will comprise the husband, wife, and unmarried children.
